Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 Manali – Kulang – Morhidug

    Drive – about 30 minutes/ Trek – about 4 hours. Drive out of Manali to reach tiny village of Kulang, from where we embark upon trek’s first leg. It is a level walk to begin with, followed by a steep ascent to reach Morhidug (2800 mts), a meadow, where we camp for tonight. O/n Camp.

  • Day 2. Morhidug – Panduropa

    Trek – about 4 hours. Breakfast followed by steep ascent through evergreen forest & on rocky path which becomes moderate as you approach Panduropa (3600 mts), legendary paddy fields planted during the time of the Pandavas of epic Mahabharata.

  • Day 3 Panduropa – Bhrigu Lake – Panduropa

    Trek – about 7 hours. Set out early for today’s ultimate climb to Bhrigu lake (4240 mts). This is a fascinating trail that goes through meadows strewn with wildflowers and is a gradual ascent. The striking beauty of the lake leaves you spell bound on the very first encounter. Admire the magnificent surroundings, spend quality time here before returning to the camp at Panduropa. O/n Camp.

  • Day 4. Panduropa – Kulang – Manali

    (Trek – about 5 hours, Drive – about 30 minutes. Walk down to reach Kulang village (2300 mts) by noon, followed by pick up and drive to Manali.

Program Notes

  • All Meals (Vegetarian Food); except breakfast on arrival day and dinner on departure day.
  • Tented accommodation in alpine tents: Twin/Triple sharing tents, sleeping bags, foam trekking mattresses and toilet tent.

  • Kitchen Staff with kitchen tent and all other necessary items of kitchen.
  • Taxi from Hotel/Guest House/ Bus Station at Manali to road head place Kulang on arrival day
  • Taxi from road head place Vashisht to Hotel/Guest House/Bus Station at Manali town on departure day.
  • Any expense arising out of unforeseen circumstance like bus delays, roadblocks, landslides, etc.

Last minute tips
  • Take warm winter clothing with you.
  • Ensure you are physically fit to walk at this altitude.
  • Do not bring any expensive or valuable item like a jewelry to program.
  • We hold no responsibility in case of any loss of personnel belongings.
  • People with asthma and other breathing issues should avoid high altitude trekking.
  • Don’t try to be a dare devil while on treks in Himalayas. Mother nature punishes very harshly.
