Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1. Manali – Solang – Dhundi – Bakarthatch

    Drive – about 45 minutes/ Trek – about 4 hours –  Drive out of Manali along meandering Beas river to reach Solang valley (2480 mts), famous for its ski slopes. Sojourn followed by an hour’s walk till Dhundi (2840 mts) from where the track leads upward through thinning forest & green meadows. Reach the camping grounds of Bakarthatch (3100 mts.) by evening. O/n Camp.

  • Day2. Bakarthatch – Beas Kund – Bakrarthatch

    Trek – about 5 hours –  Wake up to magnificent views of surrounding mountain peaks. After Breakfast, set out to explore this lovely landscape by trekking up along torrent of Beas through scanty bushes and rolling meadows. Reach the sacred source of River Beas, The Beas Kund (3690 mts), a tiny lake shining like an emerald complementing its surroundings. Spend quality time here & walk down to the Camp at Bakarthatch by evening. Bonfire & O/n Camp.

  • Day 3. Bakarthatch – Solang – Manali

    Trek – about 4 hours, Drive – about 45 minutes –  set off on downward trail after Breakfast to reach Solang valley by noon. You are free to explore Solang for sometime followed by drive to reach Manali by evening.

Inclusions
  • All Meals (Vegetarian Food); except breakfast on arrival day and dinner on departure day.
  • Tented accommodation in alpine tents: Twin/Triple sharing tents, sleeping bags, foam trekking mattresses and toilet tent.
  • High Altitude Trekking Guide.
  • Kitchen Staff with kitchen tent and all other necessary items of kitchen.
  • Taxi from Hotel/Guest House/ Bus Station at Manali to road head place Kulang on arrival day
  • Taxi from road head place Vashisht to Hotel/Guest House/Bus Station at Manali town on departure day.

  • Any expense arising out of unforeseen circumstance like bus delays, roadblocks, landslides, etc.

Last minute tips
  • Take warm winter clothing with you.
  • Ensure you are physically fit to walk at this altitude.
  • Do not bring any expensive or valuable item like a jewelry to program.
  • We hold no responsibility in case of any loss of personnel belongings.
  • People with asthma and other breathing issues should avoid high altitude trekking.
  • Don’t try to be a dare devil while on treks in Himalayas. Mother nature punishes very harshly.
